I suspect at some point IK will have to re-think DEFAULT paths and file names (I don't use defaults at all)ĭouble check: if ST3 was installed first, and it probably was, a lot of the ST4 IK SOUND CONTENT installers seem to pick up that OLD ST3 path. (I completely shortened paths because in a few cases the defaults even in ST 2 were bumping up against the 255 character path limits even an issue for Win 10.

Get Sampletank 2 for iOS here. You are using current release 4.0.2 and it sounds like you know this but you did point to the ST 4 sounds library path(s), right? You can get a free version of Sampletank, but for $19.99, you get a solid MIDI music creator. You can even import into your computer’s DAW for even more tracking options. This 8-track MIDI recorder can then be exported to your Amplitube, VocalLive, Garageband, or other music program. There are two virtual interface modes inside Sampletank if you don’t have your iRig interface connected. When ready, record up to 8 instruments for your desired sound. Adjust the tempo and time signature to your need. Create new patterns or choose from the pre-programmed patterns to spruce things up. In Song mode you can create loops or samples. Layer mode allows you to assign items to your MIDI controller, then recall by simply hitting a button.

You can also adjust pan, volume, EQ, and reverb to get the right sound. You can change or mute them upon a touch. In the live mode, set up your instruments and patterns you plan to play. Sampletank can be run in 2 modes – recording (Song) and live. Connect up a iRig Keys or iRig Pads for more control. With over 1,900 high quality samples, you can create, save and play your works through your iPad or iPhone. Today I’m looking at Sampletank 2 – an iOS app that allows you to create grooves and samples for your DJ or acoustic rock shows. Share on LinkedIn Share Sampletank 2 in Song Mode
